Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science degree or related technical degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Interpret SOW, requirements and Systems Definition.
  • Must be able to travel to and from flight line and work in aircraft hangar environments.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate, if necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the defense aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter.
  • Knowledge of Siemens Capital software.
  • Understanding of basic aircraft systems.
  • Systems integration experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience with Bombardier Global aircraft.
  • Active secret security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations.
  • Create and review system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using CAD tools, such as Capital Harness or NX.
  • Research and preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost.
  • Lead a small team of electrical design engineers to implement electronic subsystems by breaking down requirements and work packages.
  • Provide drawing status and budget estimates to platform leads.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers.
  • Learn and become familiar with L3Harris Technical Process Specifications and related design practices and methodologies.
