About The Position

The Lead or Senior Product IPT Engineer at Boeing will be part of the EO/IR Mission Systems team, focusing on the development of mission systems for space and airborne platforms. This role involves leading systems engineering activities from requirements definition to verification and validation, while also supporting project management tasks. The position requires a collaborative approach to design and develop complex systems, ensuring compatibility and performance across various interfaces. The engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to innovative sensor systems that enhance air travel safety and military operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 10+ years of experience in technical leadership.
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering.

Nice To Haves

• 20+ years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with systems engineering principles in aerospace hardware/software development.
• Experience writing requirements for electrical/electronic, software, and firmware systems.
• Experience developing electronic products for space applications.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and Cameo.
• Experience as a chief engineer or systems engineering IPT lead in avionics design.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities to plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced system solutions.
• Evaluate customer needs to define system performance requirements and ensure compatibility of all interfaces.
• Perform systems engineering for the entire product lifecycle from requirements definition to testing and delivery.
• Support project management activities including schedule development and status reporting.
• Interface with customers and partners for technical collaboration and status reporting.
• Lead analyses to optimize system architecture and ensure mission success.
• Develop and maintain requirements management processes and technology readiness assessments.
• Plan and lead research projects for future product designs.
