About The Position

This role bridges product design and factory execution, translating new transducer technologies into stable, high-quality, and scalable manufacturing solutions. Your role: Industrialize new ultrasound transducer products by developing, qualifying, and scaling manufacturing processes that are technology‑intensive and comparable to semiconductor-style production environments. Partner closely with Research & Development, Manufacturing Development, factory engineering, and suppliers to jointly design the product and its manufacturing process, ensuring high manufacturability and robust business outcomes. Lead hands-on process development and experimentation on a pilot production line in Cambridge, which mirrors factory equipment and conditions, to identify process windows, resolve issues, and eliminate risks before factory release. Define and qualify production equipment and processes, including capital equipment selection, configuration of critical parameters, and process validation for high-volume manufacturing readiness. Support transfer-to-factory execution, working directly with production teams at the main manufacturing site to implement validated processes; periodic travel is expected (typically ~1 week per quarter).

Requirements

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience in product industrialization, manufacturing engineering, or manufacturing process development for technically complex products.
  • Your skills include manufacturing process development and qualification, equipment setup and validation, structured technical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration in high-technology production environments.
  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You’re a strong team-oriented engineer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working closely with Research & Development and factory teams and troubleshooting challenging technical issues.
