Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The main purpose of this position is to function as support to the Project Engineering team participating in the design and execution of solutions to meet customers’ requirements. Primary tasks may include sustaining engineering activities (continuous improvement of existing products), cost reduction projects, process efficiency analysis, creating designs in CAD and providing input to Drafting. Responsibilities include participating in formal Design Reviews and assisting senior engineers with project work related to customer orders. Support product Qualification activities as assigned. Participate in Failure Analysis activities, and support generation of technical input to FEA (Finite Element Analysis) evaluation. Proactively participate in the Project Engineering Team environment and follow the direction and leadership of senior staff. Education and Experience: Pursuing a BS degree or equivalent in Mechanical/ Structural or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline A strong Engineering aptitude with hands-on capabilities Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understanding of general safety practices in high pressure, thermal, and electrical operational and test environments Familiarity with basic temperature, pressure, insulation resistance, continuity resistance, mechanical stress/strain Functional skills with SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD program MS Office Suite proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Good written and oral communication techniques Behavioral Requirements in a Technical Environment: Work effectively as a member of a team through cooperation and group participation Ability to handle multiple assigned tasks in high growth, fast paced environment Willing and capable of resolving differences with others openly and constructively Constructively reacts to feedback from superiors, customers and peers Keeps management informed of positive and negative information that would have significant impact on him/her and/or the organization Perform to the highest professional and ethical standards in every aspect of the job Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).
