About The Position

Perlick is seeking a motivated Product Engineering Intern who is ready to apply knowledge of basic problem solving, mathematics, and engineering principles to an authentic real-world experience. The intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including documenting technical requirements, hands-on work/testing, performing CAD modeling/drawing updates, and learning about varied engineering activities.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program in pursuit of a 2-year degree, in an Engineering discipline.
• Enrollment in a 4-year degree program is preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word) and completion of a CAD modeling and drafting training course (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as comfortability with working in a cross-functional, team environment required.
• High motivation with a desire to learn, plan, align, and perform with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Learn change management expectations and skills, support new product development efforts, and contribute as a Product Development Engineering team member.
• Create and maintain CAD models and engineering drawings in SolidWorks and release them to PDM and ERP systems to support prototype, custom, and production configuration and release.
• Work with direct manager to identify and execute a “win-win” activity that supports the one’s own educational and career goals while also benefiting Perlick’s business needs.
• Other learning objectives, projects and duties as assigned.
