Requirements

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical or Polymer Engineering.
  • Strong analytical, mechanical conceptualization, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer applications.
  • Detail oriented individual with demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently (with minimal supervision) and within a team environment.
  • Must have a desire to continuously learn, grow, and develop skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and complete projects assigned by Engineers and direct Supervisor in a safe and timely manner.
  • Participate on new product development and problem-solving teams.
  • Work and communicate with product, quality and manufacturing engineers.
  • Provide support to product engineers and lab personnel performing tasks that include sample preparation, testing, and equipment improvements and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize computer software to generate engineering reports.
  • Complete any other similar or associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives, or as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
