About The Position
As a Product Engineering Co-op at Bracco Medical Technologies, you will play a vital role in supporting the Product Support Team, which focuses on medical devices utilized by interventional cardiologists. This position will provide you with hands-on experience in developing service instructions and procedures, building internal test devices, and analyzing product repair information. You will engage in group brainstorming and problem-solving sessions, contributing to the improvement and innovation of medical devices. Your projects may involve using state-of-the-art test equipment, researching scientific and clinical literature, executing testing protocols, and preparing detailed reports. Additionally, you will be involved in technical writing projects, including the development of service instructions and the creation of training videos, all aimed at enhancing the service aspect of new product development. The co-op program is designed to expose students to various operations and product support departments within Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT). You will learn about the key requirements that must be adhered to in a regulated environment, particularly within the medical device industry. Training will cover essential aspects of medical device development procedures, as well as specific details related to BMT products. Furthermore, our co-op participants benefit from a buddy program, career development opportunities, and the chance to build professional networks both virtually and in-person with BMT professionals. This internship is structured for the Spring, Summer, or Fall of 2025, with a 2-3 semester rotation that can be consecutive or non-consecutive. Preferred start dates are in January or May, but other dates will be considered. You will be expected to work 40 hours per week during this internship.
