About The Position
The position involves the design and engineering of products, including the selection of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling. The role requires translating market requirements into product specifications, creating CAD documentation, and developing BOM structures. The candidate will be responsible for conducting technical reviews, product testing, and implementation. Additionally, the role includes packaging design for both new and existing products, validating engineering against Kimball and external standards, and leading prototyping activities to deliver viable samples. The candidate will also determine the nature of technical problems and propose solutions, create product designs that optimize manufacturability, and develop design solutions utilizing existing platforms. The position requires ownership of assignments from conception to commercialization, performing complex design investigations, engineering analyses, and feasibility studies for new components or products. The candidate will also optimize product design versus cost by challenging manufacturing strategies.
