About The Position

The Product Engineer strives to balance superior design and speed to market with cost, manufacturability and the highest quality products always top of mind. The Product Engineer develops and manages internal and external relationships with Server employees, customers, and others to fulfill the new, essential, and customer specific product/equipment needs of our customers and the overall organization. This team member is highly skilled in planning and organization, critical thinking, decision making and influencing others at Server Products to understand and satisfy the required engineering needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Design Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Experience in 3D CAD Modeling
  • Ability to pivot quickly and focus on high priority tasks if asked
  • Strong engineering technical skills
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and quality methodologies (DFMEA, Design Reviews, Tolerance Stack-Ups)
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks

Responsibilities

  • Design new products and redesign existing products, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints
  • Ensure conformance to all required safety certifications (ie: UL, NSF, CE) and company standards for quality and manufacturability
  • Manages their project(s) from start to finish while providing updates to leadership
  • Create product models and design layouts in the computerized system
  • Review drawings for critical dimensions, views, and specifications when required
  • Review and interpret customer specifications and requests
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design and quality problems, and ensure the continuous improvement of processes and methods
  • Create, review, and approve all revision-controlled documentation per project, including but not limited to shop drawings and bill of materials
  • Communicate effectively to internal and external customers, verbally and in writing
  • Effectively take the lead role in product development of new products
  • Utilize future forward thinking with the company's goals in mind when developing new products
  • Mentor and train department members as needed
