The individual in the Product Engineer I position is responsible for providing technical support to all Operational and Sales departments and outside customers on the development of specialty fasteners. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES .Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more of the following: Reviews customer drawings and specifications. Analyzes new or updated customer requirements. Ensures equivalent site parts meet customer drawing/specification requirements. Designs or modifies products for customers to utilize in new applications. Prepares and maintains sales and manufacturing drawings; may prepare tooling drawings, overlays, drawings for test fixtures and equipment. Prepares and updates Process Control Requirements; PCD’s. Interfaces with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Control, Document Control, Suppliers and the customer to coordinate and communicate engineering requirements. Interfaces with Sales Department in creation and revision of company sales publications. Provides support in adding and updating Item Master codification / engineering ERP records. Investigates manufacturing problems and recommends solutions as identified through the MRB process. Interfaces with customers and field support resources on technical issues. Provides technical support and engineering project management on assigned fastener products. Will continuously look for and review applicable emerging technologies related to existing and new product development and in parallel with core competencies and manufacturing techniques. Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and MDK Procedures. Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.Required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately. Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results. Other duties may be assigned.
