About The Position

Join our team in building the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise, a suite of products delivering state-of-the-art mapping and analytics capabilities to millions of users worldwide. Our team builds cutting-edge, highly scalable, and reliable distributed software for on-premises and cloud environments. Our software is used to make maps, geographic information, and analyses available on any device, anywhere, at any time. Our product engineers are integral to delivering high-quality software, which includes testing. As a product engineer, you will work with our cross-functional global team of product engineers and developers. You will be actively involved with testing, maintaining, designing and delivering next generation AI Assistants in ArcGIS Enterprise using software development and quality assurance practices. If you are passionate about software quality, geospatial technology, natural language processing and can develop a deep understanding of our products and customer needs, this is the place to be!

Requirements

  • 1+ years of core analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in the spatial realm
  • Passion for analysis and GIS with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Demonstrable experience with GIS software for problem solving
  • Proven ability to deliver work, in teams or individually, in a fast-changing environment
  • Self-motivated and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum guidance
  • Dedication to customer success
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, computer science, engineering, GIS, data science or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge or interest in Python
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online or other geospatial technology
  • Experience solving real-world problems in industry or an academic setting

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop manual test plans to support and enhance overall product quality and ensure the product meets the release quality requirements
  • Work closely with other product engineers and developers to develop test cases that can be added to automation test suites
  • Triage and address reported issues in the software
  • Participate in, and improve manual testing
  • Engage with feature teams to troubleshoot inconsistent results
  • Communicate project status regularly to the team
