About The Position

As a Product Engineer 3 at Lam Research, you will play a crucial role in the design and engineering of semiconductor equipment, specifically within the Etch Product Group. Requirements

• Master's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience; or a PhD with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.
• Clear communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.
• Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
• Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
• Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality.
• Support product development from prototyping, development, deployment, and initial field support.
• Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.
• Create clear and concise reports to present analysis and support technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.
• Provide technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.
• Maintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to-face and international travel to customer sites supporting near term product releases.
