About The Position

Safety-Kleen in Elgin, IL is looking for a Product Development Lab Tech to join their safety conscious team! As a Product Development Lab Tech you will be responsible for providing non-technical or basic technical support to laboratory personnel. Why work for Safety-Kleen? Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • College Level Chemistry Class Completion
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Punctuality and attendance required
  • Respirator fit test upon hire- clean shaven face required (mustache okay!)
  • Background check, drug screen and physical- required
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
  • We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time, including F1-OPT work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (or related science) preferred
  • Prior experience in a laboratory setting
  • Excellent communication, organization, and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency with computer applications
  • Ability to document, record, and analyze data and information
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Positive and safe work environments
  • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Perform tests to help assess new technology and improve existing product line.
  • Perform cleaning studies on customer parts to determine optimum chemistry/equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair procedures for equipment operation and repair manuals.
  • Create customer-facing technical reports detailing proper cleaning chemistry/methods.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and customer demonstration area.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management
