As a Product Development Failure Analysis Engineer, you will work on the Product Development Failure Analysis team to take next generation devices from design to mass production. You will focus on product reliability and component failure analysis at new product introduction to enable rapid production ramp and early time to market. You will use electrical and physical characterization techniques along with AI tools and statistical analysis. These methods help detect defects from fabrication and assembly processes and test marginalities. You will be responsible for presenting and coordinating component-level improvement activities alongside Product, Process, Quality and Test engineering groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, materials science or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of device-level CMOS transistor functionality
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and inform engineering decisions and strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ working experience related to DRAM Product Development or relevant field of Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Micron experience in DRAM Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Process Integration, Yield Enhancement
  • Experience with jmp or other statistical analysis applications
  • Scripting within a UNIX/Linux environment (Tcl, Bash, SHELL, etc) and Python familiarity or experience
  • Semiconductor manufacturing knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Use electrical characterization techniques to detect component DRAM failures
  • Use statistical analysis and AI tools to identify failures in DRAM components
  • Communicate and coordinate efforts passionate about component-level improvements with teams dedicated to Product, Manufacturing, Quality, and Test Engineering
  • Work with internal teams to uncover failures introduced by fabrication and assembly processes and work with Product and Test engineering teams to identify testing marginalities
