About The Position

The Role: Our site in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Product Development Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration, beginning in June through December. The team develops new products, processes, and metrologies for polishing pads used in chemical mechanical planarization. This co-op will be focused on analytical lab testing and test method development for our raw materials and polyurethane composite pads.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a lab (employment or school) and knowledge of safe lab practices is preferred
  • Ability to write technical reports and present data in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-June-December 2026.
  • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in thermal analysis and/or rheology of polymers
  • Engineering knowledge and experience with polymer processing is a significant plus
  • Statistical analysis skills and experience using MiniTab or JMP
  • Materials Science or Chemistry major, graduating in December 2026 or later. Consideration to other majors within the STEM field.
  • Working towards a Master of Science in Material Science or Chemistry, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work to support the product development engineering team in lab data generation for the commercialization of new products
  • Test method development for existing and new analytical techniques to better understand our raw materials and products
  • Work closely with various business functions to support the manufacturing process and resolve customer product quality issues
  • Lead continuous improvement project to drive process efficiency and reduce product variation
