Your Key ResponsibilitiesOur Chassis Suspension Development team is seeking passionate mechanical engineers to innovate new suspension-based chassis mechatronic products, taking products from CAD design to test track validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized courses in automotive design or vehicle dynamics preferred.
  • 5+ Years experience in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA (or similar software) for creating detailed mechanical designs and 3D models.
  • Deep understanding of chassis suspension systems, including but not limited to coil springs, shock absorbers, sway bars, and active-chassis products, with experience in designing and optimizing these systems.
  • Strong analytical skills for performing simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate and optimize the performance of mechanical components. Ability to troubleshoot and solve design challenges.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to document and present design processes, test results, and technical specifications clearly and concisely.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US. (This role does not offer visa sponsorship or support.)

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on vehicle experience and vehicle dynamics knowledge are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed mechanical designs for suspension actuators, including 3D modeling, drafting, and prototyping. Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and durability requirements.
  • Perform simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate the performance and structural integrity of actuator components. Optimize designs based on analysis results to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Identify and select appropriate materials for actuator components, considering factors such as strength, weight, and cost. Ensure materials meet industry standards and application requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing personnel. Ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other system components and vehicle architecture.
  • Develop and execute test plans on-bench and on-vehicle to validate system performance and reliability. Analyze test data and iterate on designs to address any issues or improvements.
