About The Position

The Product Development Engineer (PVT) at Ford Motor Company plays a crucial role in the Variability Reduction team, focusing on reducing variability at the component and system levels. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 1+ years experience in Product Development, Quality, Program, or Manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Black Belt trained desirable.
  • Excellent teamwork, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming warranty claims data and customer feedback.
  • Bin claims into proper categories and contact dealerships for diagnoses.
  • Participate in customer callbacks to understand feedback.
  • Conduct root cause analyses on returned parts and develop corrective actions.
  • Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds and quality-related tasks.
  • Lead engineering commodity changes for minor product launches and cost reduction actions.
  • Engage with technical experts to drive resolution and improve product quality.
  • Maintain quality documents for sub-systems and Vehicle Functional Groups.
  • Make presentations to upper management regarding quality and engineering updates.
