About The Position

The Dearborn Engine Laboratory conducts dynamometer-based tests on gasoline and diesel engines, covering areas such as engine development and durability, powertrain calibration, and cooling system evaluations. The Engine Test Engineer is responsible for interfacing with requesting departments to understand, schedule, and document daily testing requirements. A key aspect of this role is overseeing the daily execution of engine dynamometer testing, ensuring that engine setup, testing, and disposition meet the highest product quality standards. The engineer monitors active tests across multiple lab cells, maintaining strict quality controls to produce correlated, accurate, and reliable data. This position is crucial for upholding exceptional product quality, minimizing downtime, and fostering continuous improvement in daily lab operations.

Responsibilities
