Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Product Development & Commercialization Specialist to assist in the delivery of our product launch processes. Reporting to the Product Development & Commercialization Manager, you will play a critical, hands-on role in ensuring all new items are launched accurately, on time, and backed by insightful market data. This position is an opportunity to grow in the field of Product Development, gaining experience working with R&D, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing. You will have direct ownership of the Off-Price Assortment and Retail Support Initiatives, managing these two high-visibility areas from concept to completion. The Product Development & Commercialization Specialist is responsible for meeting revenue targets for new item launches and reaching distribution goals for retail marketing programs. The ideal candidate loves product and consumer insights, thrives on managing complex timelines and seeks to build a foundation for future leadership in product development. This is a full-time hybrid position that will require weekly presence on-site (2-3 days per week) on the EO campus. Employee must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requirements

  • Exceptional Organizational Acumen: Proven ability to distill complex, long-term projects into clear subtasks with identified owners and deadlines.
  • Detail-Oriented Documentation: High skill level in documenting, organizing, and accurately maintaining all aspects of new product concepts throughout the development cycle (e.g., pricing comps, images, specs, costing, ingredients, claims).
  • Project Management: Skilled at proactive communication of timeline risks and conveying urgency to cross-functional partners.
  • Analytical Foundation: Ability to interpret sales data and create clear reports on performance against goals.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills for managing external partners and internal teams.
  • Data entry and ability to learn new software.
  • Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent work experience required
  • Previous Project or Product coordination experience required
  • Team experience in a collaborative environment required
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google suite, Excel & Word required

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Project management software such as Asana, Monday, Smartsheets, etc preferred
  • Previous experience with CRM and ERP systems (Netsuite) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Product Launch Coordination
  • Market Insights: Assist the PD Manager by completing market comp reports (pricing, sizing, attributes, certifications, in-store placement) to inform optimal positioning for new item launches.
  • Asset & Sample Management: Coordinate the preparation and shipment of product samples for sales submissions and key retailer meetings.
  • Creative assets coordination: Partner with the Creative team to ensure all selling tools (e.g., product decks and sell sheets) are briefed and delivered on time.
  • Timeline Execution: Own the copy and creative timelines for all new item assets, ensuring all marketing and compliance elements are secured for launch.
  • Performance Tracking: Manage post-launch performance reporting, tracking new item sales revenue against goals, and preparing data for the PD Manager's recommended action plan.
  • Compliance Updates: Manage the briefing, timelines and hand-offs for all digital assets requiring updates based on regulatory or certification changes..
  • Product Assortment Ownership: Off-Price Channel
  • Channel Strategy & Execution: Lead recommendations and execution for Off-Price assortment, driving the PD timelines for all off-price specific new item launches from ideation through concepting, testing, approval and final launch..
  • Competitive Analysis: Proactively conduct regular comp shopping and make recommendations for the Off Price channel for optimal price, scent, assortment mix.
  • Sales Enablement: Manage the creation and timely updates of all selling tools and decks tailored for the Off- Price channel, ensuring product details are accurate and compelling.
  • Launch approvals: Assist the PD Manager in the final product sign-off and approval process (forecasting, marketing investment, operational inputs, and EBITDA).
  • Retail & Field Support Coordination
  • In-Store Program Management: Lead the execution of timelines for quarterly retail initiatives (signage, register programs, shippers), ensuring clear alignment of goals and in-market dates with the Sales team.
  • Coordinate all quarterly broker sends with the sales and shipping teams.
  • Manage logistics for all trade show materials, including custom and standard toolkits.
  • Asset Inventory & Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering of all retail marketing assets (e.g., shippers, clip strips, fixtures, samples) to ensure continuous in-market support.
  • Goal Tracking: Partner with Sales to track progress towards achieving store distribution goals for off-shelf programs , including monitoring coupon program redemptions. Partner with sales to course correct as needed.
