Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering with polymer emphasis.
  • Experience with polymer synthesis, characterization, and testing is preferred.
  • Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical data.
  • Great attention to details and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other team members in product development programs.
  • Solid interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments.
  • Proficient with Powerpoint, Excel, and Statistical Analysis Software (Minitab or JMP).

Responsibilities

  • Record, organize and communicate results/data from experiments and testing, support scientists in new technology, product development projects.
  • Perform data collection and analysis, draw conclusions, and make experimental recommendations.
  • Maintain laboratory and storage areas, as well as equipment, ensure adherence to all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations, standards and policies.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders and leverage their feedback to optimize processes towards customer or project requirements.
