About The Position

The Product Developer for Kids at Crocs is a pivotal role responsible for the development of innovative footwear designs and managing quick-strike projects that involve colors and graphics on existing products. This position encompasses the entire product development lifecycle, starting from the initial ideation phase and extending through to manufacturing. The Product Developer will collaborate closely with the Product Creation Team to enhance the quick-strike product line, streamline the quick-strike process, and meet product objectives related to aesthetics, quality, and cost within critical timelines. In this role, you will engage with a global, cross-functional product creation team, navigating through design and development milestones to commercialization. Your responsibilities will include analyzing design packs, preparing factory deliverables, and maintaining the Product Bill of Materials (BOM). You will also be tasked with identifying potential manufacturing, efficiency, and costing concerns throughout the product development cycle, ensuring that cost targets are met. Ownership of the sample process is a key aspect of this position, which includes submitting clear sample requests, summarizing product teardowns, and documenting any necessary revisions. You will communicate opportunities for improved construction, materials, and components to enhance functionality, aesthetics, and fit. Additionally, you will initiate and lead meetings with product teams during various development phases to review, evaluate, and drive the decision-making process that leads to timely production confirmations and goals. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining clear communication regarding product development status and understanding timelines with manufacturing partners and the material supply chain. You will also be responsible for the physical management and storage of prototypes and samples, ensuring that all aspects of the product development process are well-documented and organized.
