About The Position

As a Product Developer Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing new and improved beverage products to life while supporting some of the most recognized brands in the industry. Working under the guidance of a Lead Developer, you’ll contribute to the research, testing, and development of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, gaining exposure across the full product lifecycle from concept through production. In this role, you’ll support bench-top experimentation and investigative research, collecting and analyzing data that helps shape formulation decisions. You’ll assist with scale-up activities, stability testing, and small production runs, helping ensure products perform consistently from the lab to commercial production. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate and Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering plus 1 year of experience in beverage production, product development or research experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • Required to possess the physical ability to discriminate basic tastes, aromas, and visual colors.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Required to be 18 years or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering plus 3 years of beverage production, product development or research and development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Skilled in responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Skilled in effectively preparing and presenting information to core teams and their management.
  • Computer skills include: Intermediate MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with using Statistical Analysis Software (SAS, SPSS).
  • Understanding of statistics, DOE and mathematical operations required for product development activities.
  • Experience with defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Skilled in thinking strategically and transforming ideas into logical business applications.
  • Knowledge in area of specialization (sensory, consumer research and product development) to completion of assignments.
  • Experience working within teams within the company.
