About The Position

The Product Development Technician at Paul Mueller Company is responsible for designing, testing, and improving various product lines related to dairy farm equipment. This role involves working collaboratively in a team environment to ensure product quality and performance, while also providing technical support across multiple departments.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of practical experience in equipment testing
• Working knowledge of refrigeration systems and testing
• Ability to work in a team environment to complete specified goals
• Proficient in testing of machines and equipment
• Proficient with a variety of test equipment
• Valid driver's license for occasional travel

Nice To Haves

• Additional skills and experience in electrical, welding, grinding, gas brazing

Responsibilities

• Testing equipment from different product lines
• Using and calibrating a variety of test equipment
• Assimilating, interpreting, and plotting data gathered from tests
• Suggesting and implementing design improvements
• Identifying possible problems and offering solutions
• Introducing new projects into manufacturing, along with training and work instructions
• Providing technical support for Sales, Manufacturing, QA, Service, and Customers
• Contacting vendors as required
• Using hand tools, machine tools, welding, and grinding equipment
• Maintaining regular in-person attendance due to teamwork requirements
• Working overtime as needed to fulfill responsibilities
• Traveling occasionally for service and startup of various products
