About The Position

At Notion, we are on a mission to empower individuals and teams to tailor software to solve any problem. Our work environment is in-person, requiring employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and spend the majority of their week in the office.

Requirements

• 5+ years of working experience in product design.
• Ability to run projects independently from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of customer needs and user experience.
• Ability to create clear, intuitive, and visually appealing human interfaces.
• Balance between craft, speed, and business implications in design.
• Strong collaboration skills with different stakeholders.
• Ability to tell stories using both words and visuals.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing and building tools with small teams.
• Unique strengths and perspectives that complement the team.
• Familiarity with the work of computing pioneers like Douglas Engelbart.
• Ability to code as a designer.
• Experience with fragmented tools and a desire to improve them.

Responsibilities

• Design product concepts that balance vision, craft, speed, and business potential.
• Craft every detail of new product features, from idea to UX to pixel-perfect execution.
• Run projects end to end with engineers to drive your vision to the ship line.
• Partner closely with Customer Experience, Sales, and Customer Success teams to understand user needs and prioritize the product roadmap.
• Work with Marketing to devise new storytelling methods throughout the user lifecycle.
• Create new patterns that are intuitive and practical, evolving the design system as we scale.
