Founding Product Designer
The Founding Product Designer at Sequence will have direct, structural influence over what we build and how it works. You will shape product strategy alongside the co-founders, define the interaction paradigms for AI-native enterprise software, and build the design practice from scratch.
You will design the Sequence Atlas platform — chat interfaces, generative AI products, and process analytics dashboards — while also working forward-deployed at portfolio companies like BankSouth, designing AI-powered workflows that reimagine how work gets done. This role reports directly to the co-founders and will be among the first design hires at the company.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience on complex enterprise or data-heavy applications
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, from user research through shipped products
• Expertise in Figma and modern prototyping tools
• Experience embedded with engineering teams in fast-moving environments
• Strong visual and interaction design skills
• Clear communicator across founders, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design across enterprise dashboards, AI chat interfaces, agentic workflow tools, and data visualization surfaces
• Spend meaningful time on-site at portfolio companies to understand the workflows AI is transforming
• Rapidly prototype in Figma, code, or whatever gets the idea across fastest
• Build and maintain a scalable design system across Sequence Atlas products
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers as creative partners
• Define how humans supervise, correct, and collaborate with AI agents in high-stakes enterprise contexts
