We’re seeking a talented product designer who’s passionate about AI transparency, understanding human needs in this AI world, and creating cutting-edge AI products. Requirements

• 4+ years of experience owning product design end-to-end.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end, user-centered design work, from research and problem framing to iteration and polished, production-ready interfaces.
• Proven ability to translate complex or technical systems into clear, intuitive user experiences.
• High ownership mentality. You move quickly, make decisions with imperfect information, and iterate based on real user feedback.
• Strong interest in AI-powered products.
• Experience working at an early-stage or fast-scaling startup.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing AI systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research across our diverse users and customers, including students, educators, journalists, content creators, and more
• Design consumer-facing experiences for new and existing features, from early concepts and user flows to high-fidelity mockups and shipped product
• Partner closely with engineers to scope, iterate, and deliver high-quality experiences quickly
• Help shape how design operates at GPTZero as the product and team scale
