About The Position

AppleCare Digital is seeking a Product Designer to help visualize new support experiences using generative AI in our customer-facing support apps. The role will focus on designing AI solutions to improve customer experience, increase issue resolution across support topics, and help achieve business goals as a result. It requires a proficient designer unafraid to dive into the new and transformative potential of AI. As a Product Designer focused on delivering generative AI solutions, you will use your skill and craft in order to build intuitive and relevant user experiences. You will be able to take ambiguous and conceptual scope and work to deliver clear and valuable support solutions. You understand large sophisticated AI capabilities and various stakeholder needs in order to build the highest quality experience. You lead and choose the right design patterns and layout that evolve existing visual systems. You advocate for the user and provide the essential user research in order to help the business truly understand user problems, needs, and opportunities for AI-driven interactions. You can build detailed interaction models, wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications that guide cross-functional product development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience working with AI-driven experiences.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end product design solutions.
  • Strong interaction design, visual design, and user experience design skills.
  • Proficiency in using Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Keynote, and agile processes.
  • Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through prototypes, sketches, high fidelity comps, and presentations.
  • Highly skilled and fast in any tools needed to visualize ideas and deliver work.
  • Enthusiasm and history working in the generative AI and AI-driven spaces.
  • Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity and change.
  • Enthusiasm and history working in an iterative design process, motivated by group critique.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building with AI technologies (particularly LLMs) in products or meaningful side projects.
  • Experience developing design strategies and roadmaps for AI products.
  • Technology-minded with experience working with JS and SwiftOS frameworks.
