About The Position

The Product Designer Co-op will support user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) product development efforts assisting with software application design ensuring that they are user-centered, functional, and visually appealing. This position will provide exposure to the software development lifecycle through collaboration with other product designers, engineers, product managers and other stakeholders. Additionally, one will gain valuable experience in making digital products easy and efficient, and enjoyable for users, through conducting user research, wireframing and creating prototypes, and designing high-fidelity user interfaces for development.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Collaborative team player
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Sciences, Product Management or a related technical field
• Experience with Figma and interest in user experience and user interface design

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with animation design is a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support the development of software applications
• Participate in the user experience design process through the creation of low-fidelity designs through wireframing and prototyping
• Support product design efforts, including the creation, refinement, and annotation of high-fidelity user interfaces
• Assist with product management efforts by documenting and interacting with user stories and feature design
• Perform user research and user testing to enhance usability and functionality
• Perform appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor to cover other duties not listed within the description.
