About the position

Pinterest is looking for a Product Design Manager II to support our Personalization team, focused on Home and User Feedback. In this role you’ll support a team of Product and Content Designers, collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to help build personally relevant experiences for our users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, build, develop and inspire a team of Product Designers to continually elevate the design direction and product quality.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to define the key results and identify the most impactful features to build.
  • Build a successful, collaborative environment that encourages deep partnership with cross-functional teams and sets a high bar for design craft.
  • Champion customer-centricity, accessibility and inclusion, and good design choices across functions.
  • Influence product strategy and enable your team to create elegant designs that solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years career experience in Product Design (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years experience building and growing multi-disciplinary design teams and with digital products especially building design systems for native app platforms.
  • High design craft and experience in multiple design fields (UX, UI, design systems, prototyping) and prior work demonstrating a strong design process, clear insights, and problem solving.
  • Ability to build narratives and tell stories through design, while also being able to get into the details with their team to shape the pixel level details of the craft.
  • Proven ability to work closely with your cross-functional partners to paint a long-term vision, develop a path to get there, and iterate in the short-term to meet long-term goals.
  • Strong ability to accelerate team efficiency by improving processes and workflows within the design and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of being able to balance ambiguity, fast iterative sprints, business awareness, technology, organizational agility, research and data insights, and high design quality.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $155,652—$320,460 USD.
  • Eligible for equity.
