Product Design Intern

MirageNew York, NY
$50 - $50Onsite

About The Position

We’re looking for two Product Design Interns to join our team in the heart of NYC for Summer 2026. This isn’t a “sit back and watch” internship - you’re joining us at the frontier of AI to help simplify video creation and make it accessible to everyone, everywhere. At our scale, you won’t just shadow, you will own the end to end design process for features that ship to real users. You’ll spend your summer in the room where it happens, collaborating deeply with engineering and product peers to translate complex AI capabilities into high-fidelity, intuitive experiences. This is an in-person internship based in our New York City office (Union Square). Please note that we do not provide relocation assistance or housing support for the duration of the program.

Requirements

  • Education: Currently pursuing an undergrad degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science or a design-related field with graduation between December 2026 and Summer 2027.
  • Design Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Figma for design and prototyping. Familiarity with AI-assisted design and building tools is a significant plus.
  • Strong Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous internship work, class projects, or self-initiated case studies that demonstrate clear system thinking and UI/UX skills.
  • Product Thinking: Deep curiosity about how products are built from idea to launch and an ability to navigate complex user journeys.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to discuss, present, and document design decisions.
  • Growth Mindset: A high level of ownership and hunger to learn quickly within a highly collaborative, fast moving team.

Responsibilities

  • Full Stack Design: Work as an integral member of the design team, contributing to core product work and ongoing initiatives
  • Prototyping & Craft: Help build comprehensive user flows, wireframes, and high fidelity prototypes, ensuring execution aligns with our brand and design systems
  • Project Ownership: Lead a major project from conception → execution → final presentation, owning the end-to-end process from discovery to engineering handoff.
  • Collaborative Iteration: Participate in weekly design critiques and team meetings, gaining experience in incorporating fast paced feedback and iterative design.
  • Strategic Design: Articulate the “why” behind your work, learning to balance user needs with technical constraints and business goals
