About The Position

Exiger is seeking a creative, curious, and collaborative Product Design Intern to join our Product and Engineering teams for Summer 2026. Reporting to senior designers and engineering leaders, this intern will contribute to real product design initiatives that shape how customers interact with Exiger’s platform. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in user-centered product design within a fast-paced SaaS environment. The role is based in McLean, VA and follows ahybrid schedule with regular in-office collaboration. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • Strong interest in product design and user experience
  • Ability to clearly communicate design ideas and rationale
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and iterate based on feedback
  • Familiarity with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to UX research, usability testing, or interaction design is a plus
  • Portfolio or samples of design work (academic or personal projects) strongly encouraged

Responsibilities

  • Support the design of user-centered workflows, interfaces, and product experiences
  • Translate product requirements and user needs into wireframes, mockups, and design concepts
  • Contribute to UX research activities, including user feedback synthesis and usability insights
  • Collaborate with engineering partners to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and well implemented
  • Participate in design reviews, product discussions, and Agile ceremonies
  • Help document and evolve design patterns, components, and guidelines
  • Work on defined design projects with clear success criteria, aligned to your skill level and learning goals
