Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built, and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. We are seeking a Product Design Intern for Summer 2026! This is a paid, in-person, 12 week internship based out of Costa Mesa, CA or Seattle, WA.

  • Develop a deep understanding of how Software Product Design plays an integral role in shaping experiences in mission critical autonomous and command & control domains.
  • Own a feature or workflow end-to-end running discovery, design exploration, prototyping, and implementation with engineers.
  • Leverage Anduril's existing design system components and interaction patterns while exercising design fundamental skills: typography, color & icon usage, and layout.
  • Define solutions based on an understanding of the end-user needs, product, and business goals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of operator workflows and mission context through observation and engagement with end users.
  • Participate in user research sessions and practice synthesis of learnings with guidance from your manager or lead.
  • Share work early and often - soliciting input from cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
  • Exercise storytelling skills by presenting concepts and designs in critiques and stakeholder reviews.
  • Practice rapid design iteration based on team feedback.
  • Collaborate with product designers, research, product management, and engineers to understand the problem space and define effective solutions.
  • Account for technical constraints and edge cases in designs.
  • Maintain an organized Figma workspace, and develop design documentation and hand-off process.
  • Holds or in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in design (HCD, interaction, visual) or design related field.
  • Must be a rising senior at the time of internship and returning to school at the end of internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter/semester.
  • A desire to work on software and applications that have real-world impact.
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.
  • Proficiency with Figma design and prototyping tools.
  • Growth mindset and proactiveness to seek feedback.
  • Adaptable, quick to learn, and comfort operating in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Low-ego, high ownership, and mission oriented.
  • Platinum Healthcare Benefits: For U.S. roles, we offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans at little to no cost to you.
  • Basic Life/AD&D and long-term disability insurance 100% covered by Anduril, plus the option to purchase additional life insurance for you and your dependents.
  • Extremely generous company holiday calendar including a holiday hiatus in December, and highly competitive PTO plans.

  • Family Planning & Parenting Support: Fertility (eg, IVF, preservation), adoption, and gestational carrier coverage with additional benefits and resources to provide support from planning to parenting.
  • Mental Health Resources: We provide free mental health resources 24/7 including therapy, life coaching, and more.
  • A professional development stipend is available to all Andurilians.
  • Daily Meals and Provisions: For many of our offices this means breakfast, lunch and fully stocked micro-kitchens.
