About The Position

The Product Engineer will be responsible for performing routine engineering work and for occasionally handling minor engineering projects; also assist in various phases of major projects. This position will have contact with other engineering department personnel regarding ideas, drawings, and product, as well as external contact with customers and vendors in the development of designs, to resolve problems, and to provide prototypes. Uses independent judgment and exercises discretion in executing their duties. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills are essential.
• Knowledgeable in using inventor.

Responsibilities

• Originate and/or develop designs for products relating to defined customer needs or as possible proprietary items.
• Assist in the analysis of engineering design for specific applications.
• Assist in the investigation and analysis of new materials, equipment, and engineering practices.
• Prepare or assist in preparing engineering computations.
• Establish test requirements if not specified by customer, and develop and direct the testing of new product prototypes to verify reliability.
• Maintain contact with related customers regarding new designs, requirements, or applications.
• Assist in the production and control of engineering documentation.
• Prepare engineering drawings, sketches, layouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
