As a Product Definition Engineer your main task will be to produce and (where adequate capability has been demonstrated) check Component definitions (such as Model Based Definitions - MBDs) in line with Engineering Standards to meet design intent, satisfying fit, form and function of the component whilst optimizing for manufacture. This role sits within the Digital Design and Industrialization (DD&I) Team and includes an opportunity to grow technically alongside driving forward the Product Definition Capability. It also includes supporting delivery of the automation workstreams (such as MBD) and Digital Transformation Strategy, enabling future efficiencies within Engineering.

  • Produce and check Component definitions in line with Engineering Standards.
  • Ensure design intent is met while satisfying fit, form, and function of components.
  • Optimize components for manufacture.
  • Support delivery of automation workstreams and Digital Transformation Strategy.
  • Associates Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1+ years of experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, OR PhD in Engineering.
  • Experience in CAD modeling (Siemens NX).
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software (Teamcenter).
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) drawing standards per ASME Y14.5M and/or ISO.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and capable of systems level thinking.
  • Experience in conceptual and detail design and a good understanding of manufacturing techniques.
