About The Position

The Product Data Specialist I at Linetec is responsible for developing and maintaining databases that support various functions including estimating, order entry, purchasing, scheduling, and manufacturing of parts. This role involves managing database projects, ensuring timely processing of orders, and maintaining standard part databases for the ERP system. The specialist will also contribute to global print coordination for one-time use parts in finishing processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering/Technical discipline with experience in database management.
• Experience in a related technical field may replace degree requirements.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Thorough understanding of business processes as they relate to ERP system.
• Understanding of door and frame assembly or the ability to learn.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/DWG Viewer; Bluebeam experience is a plus.
• Ability to think logically and read/write functional logic arguments (If, And, Or, Then, Else).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage database projects including development of schedules and system testing.
• Coordinate with IT, marketing, product development, purchasing, scheduling, manufacturing, shipping, and accounting services.
• Manage the global part list to ensure timely processing of orders.
• Update customer supplied drawings for production readiness and link to orders within the finishing system.
• Develop and maintain standard part database for ERP system, including standard cost, bills of material, and manufacturing routers.
• Develop and maintain rules and tables for configuration of non-standard parts, including pricing and bills of material.
• Regulate engineering policies and procedures in conjunction with Database Supervisor.
• Ensure departmental goals are completed on time, accurately, and within budget.
