About The Position

Product Data Engineer Duncan, SC Hybrid role (Monday and Friday Remote) Excellent benfits including medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k with match Direct Hire Role with Client Some engineers are wired for design. Others are wired for data. This role is built for the ones who enjoy both, especially the engineers who want to understand why the data looks the way it does and how the product drives it. We’re hiring a Product Data Engineer to help ensure product information, engineering systems, and manufacturing data all work together accurately and efficiently. This position supports fiber-optic product lines and is ideal for someone who enjoys uncovering patterns in data while also understanding how real-world products are designed, configured, and built. If you like figuring out why something looks off in the data, and tracing it back to the product or process, you’ll likely enjoy this role. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure product data, specifications, and technical systems operate seamlessly together. This position plays a key role in identifying trends, improving system logic, and strengthening the connection between product behavior and the data behind it. You’ll be part of a collaborative product engineering group that supports global manufacturing operations and plays a direct role in product accuracy and performance. Who This Role Is Built For This role sits between product-driven engineering and data-driven engineering. You’ll likely thrive if you: Enjoy analyzing data tied to physical products Like finding patterns and solving system-based problems Want to understand how products actually work Are naturally curious and ask “why?” Enjoy improving processes and reducing errors Like working across teams This is not a pure design role. Not a pure IT/data science role. Not a pure manufacturing role. It’s a hybrid engineering position for someone who enjoys all three. If you’re an engineer who naturally asks “why does this data look like that?” and enjoys connecting product knowledge with meaningful insights, we should talk. This role is ideal for engineers ready to step into something more cross-functional, analytical, and impactful, without giving up their connection to real-world products.
