Product Coordinator (Japanese Bilingual)
About The Position
Located in Redondo Beach, CA, GungHo Online Entertainment America Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese game company GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. Publishing titles across multiple platforms ranging from console to handheld and mobile, our group is comprised of veterans from various aspects of the industry brought together by one simple thing: a love of gaming. Position Summary: Product Coordinator is responsible for the upkeep of a live operations product. Job duties also include maintaining records of a game title, checking for fan feedbacks, and ensuring the accuracy of the information handled. If you wish, this position may have a path towards becoming an Associate Producer.
Requirements
- Must be business-level proficiency in English and in Japanese (both written and verbal).
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One to two years of localization experience in the same or a similar role preferred.
- Willingness to travel for business as needed.
- Flexibility to work overtime and late-night shifts when required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong eagerness to learn and grow in the video game industry.
- Passion for games!
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and handling video equipment.
- Experience working on mobile free-to-play titles and operating live ops games.
- Proven track record of generating results in a data-driven environment.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Primary liaison between the Japanese development teams and GungHo America’s production team for a live operations title.
- Responsible for monitoring product updates and maintenances.
- Request information required for social media and marketing efforts.
- Share fan feedback with Japanese development teams.
- Accurately translate informational material from written Japanese to English and vice versa.
- Provide feedback on marketing materials.
- Check accuracy of in-game messaging.
- Check accuracy of messaging on all official channels.
- Provide a helpful presence for the fans.
- Create proposals for tournaments, giveaways, and merchandise at live events.
- Assist with KPI data analysis.
- Ensure correct timings of messages, announcements, and reveals.
