About The Position

We are seeking to fill an Intern - Product & Component Engineering role for Summer 2025 at our Los Angeles, CA location. This posting may represent one or more specific immediate or near-term openings. Those who express an interest may be considered for current and future positions. Summer internships will start in approximately May/June and end in August/September. Enjoy work/life balance at our Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area) site. At this facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation such as NASA's SLS, Lockheed Martin's THAAD, Sierra Nevada's Dream Chaser, and the Mars Perseverance Rover.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar major.
• Returning to school upon completion of the assignment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience working independently to lead full cycle projects.
• At least 1 year of experience leading teams to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level engineering tasks on rocket propulsion projects after orientation and training.
• Support senior engineering staff and gain experience and familiarization with company projects.
• Operate effectively in a team environment.
• Assist in the design and development of rocket propulsion hardware.
• Provide technical support to engineers within areas such as combustion devices, turbopumps, small thrusters, valves & actuators, and systems hardware.
