About The Position

As a Product Compliance & Certification Specialist with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will be responsible for the technical safety and certification of products, ensuring they meet rigorous global safety standards before market entry. This role serves as the technical liaison for external certification bodies and manages customer-specific compliance requests.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 2 years’ experience with Hazardous area certifications (ATEX, IECEx) and CE directives.
Must possess effective communication skills.
Travel Requirement: Less than 10%

Experience: 3–5+ years of experience with Hazardous area certifications (ATEX, IECEx) and CE directives.

Responsibilities

Manage the certification process for regulations such as ATEX (Explosive Atmospheres) and CE Marking, including technical file compilation and EU Declarations of Conformity.
Apply technical standards such as EN/IEC 60079 series (intrinsic safety) and the Machinery Directive to product designs.
Act as the primary point of contact for notified bodies to coordinate product testing and audits.
Review and fulfill specific customer order requirements, providing technical documentation or declarations of conformance as requested for individual sales.
Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to integrate safety requirements into the initial product design phase to ensure "compliance by design"
Maintain the Product Technical File, including risk assessments and test reports.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
