About The Position

As a Product Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for regulatory compliance for all products across the Grainger portfolio. You will ensure products and suppliers meet all applicable safety and health regulations and industry standards. Fulfill and support customer and partner inquiries for required compliance and safety documentation. You will report to Manager, Product Compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • 1+ years of experience in related field
  • Proven experience in research and analysis; Strong reporting and Excel skills.
  • Ability to understand technical information, concepts, and decisions and use information inform analysis

  • Product knowledge, laboratory testing, or product inspection/auditing experience or coursework a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and maintain compliance information (for existing products and new additions) related to applicable regulatory (e.g. environmental handling, safety, transportation) requirements ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with all state, federal, and provincial laws
  • Apply any applicable restrictions for sale and hazard identifications for transport.
  • Research and interpret regulations and standards to ensure compliance with industry and agency standards for products, including any necessary labeling or documentation
  • Partner with third-party testing laboratories and inspection services to understand and action on regulatory updates, product testing requirements, applicable federal/state/provincial laws, or bans or sales restrictions on specified products
  • Maintain SDS database, ensuring documentation is received and stored, reviewed against regulations, and available for customers. Support SDS and labeling requirements to meet Global Harmonization Standard (GHS) and support all other upcoming regulation changes
  • Communicate product compliance, regulatory, and safety issues as they arise; propose appropriate action plan to leaders for timely resolutions. Resolve any identified issues promptly.
  • Prepare and provide reporting on product compliance issues and impacts and provide partners with visibility to product compliance decision-making processes and determinations
  • Work with peers and partners to support projects, including participating in improvement opportunities
