About The Position

The primary responsibilities of the Product Builder/Material Handler/ERP Clerk role is manufacturing medical device components. This position will also include assisting with ERP material movement activities and warehouse shipping and receiving activities. Responsible for supporting the production floor, Manufacturing Manager, Planner/Buyer, and Shipping, Receiving, warehouse Specialists. The position will report directly to the Product Manufacturing Manager with a dotted line to the Sr. Production Crew Lead. A general list of duties is below.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing plant and/or warehouse preferred
  • Strong communication skills via telephone, E-mail, and written correspondence
  • Self-motivated, outgoing, and have leadership skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving & organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of computers and various office programs and equipment
  • Basic computer and math skills necessary to accurately perform shipping/receiving and inventory tasks
  • Able to adapt and respond to changing priorities with ease
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands.
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
  • The employee must occasionally lift and /or move 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • General production (product building), packaging, final box (shipping), and material movements (warehouse/receiving/production)
  • Helps with material movements with the use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) programs (i.e., IQMS)
  • Occasionally will participate in the daily sales and operations planning meetings (S&OP)
  • Learning and understanding of physical and electronic inventory movements & shipping/receiving process
  • Strictly adheres to Company and Plant safety policies and procedures
  • Following work instructions (Specifications)
  • Working independently and within a team, as needed
  • Developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships across functions to support the execution of material movements and manufacturing of medical components
  • Effective use of the ERP system, performing data entry transactions and data collection
  • Participate in driving on time delivery results
  • Participate in maintaining accurate inventories and performing cycle counts
  • Complying with ISO regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), general safety and manufacturing procedures, and company practices and policies
  • Ability to read, comprehend and communicate in English
  • Understand the manufacturing processes and assist with the implementation of lean and continuous flow principles
  • Support Shipping and receiving when needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
