These include qualification and deployment of inspection and test techniques, and the management of associated quality data and records. Your work will be in compliance with Quality policies, industry and regulatory standards, and customer requirements. This may include supervisory responsibility for personnel conducting testing and records review, as assigned.   You will report to the EHS Manager and be located at Blairsville, PA. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Nuclear quality experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry standards of quality, such as, ASTM testing standards, ISO-9001, Six Sigma, ANSI/ASME NQA-1, Supplements and Appendices, and U.S. NRC Regulatory Guide series.

Nice To Haves

  • We prefer previous experience in a lab testing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve product and program quality issues, including the final disposition of product and quality records, and review of product certification and customer-required documentation.
  • Review design and process engineering documentation to verify manufacturability and compliance to customer and quality requirements.
  • Work with appropriate engineering personnel to resolve implementation concerns.
  • Identify deviations that could create safety or quality hazards or cause malfunctions.
  • Apply quality control, statistical and techniques and work with cognizant personnel to implement corrective actions and rate performance of plant programs.
  • Help manage corrective action system and implementation of multiple performance improvement projects.
  • Lead, co-ordinate and integrate complex projects which encompass multi-areas.
  • Monitor progress and direct teams to achieve established budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Participate in assessments of operations and identify opportunities for performance improvement through internal quality assessments, environmental/health and safety reviews, process oversights.
  • Recommend and influence operations to take appropriate corrective actions based on assessments.
  • Communicate changes in Quality policies and systems.
  • Conduct educational and training programs.
  • Provide team members with periodic updates and recommendations regarding nature and status of work.
  • Work with customer and regulatory personnel conducting audit or surveillance visits of the facility.
