About The Position

The position involves a range of responsibilities centered around the assembly of components in a kit, ensuring quality and efficiency in production. The individual will be accountable for reading labels, tracking units, assembling components, and inspecting their own work for quality assurance. The role requires operating hand tools and machines, meeting production schedules, and performing necessary calibrations and maintenance. Additionally, the individual will be expected to participate in continuous improvement activities and support the company's quality and safety policies, as well as its guiding principles.

Responsibilities

• Read labels and identify the parts in the kit as complete and matching the label.
• Track units that require drawers.
• Assemble the components in the kit using appropriate construction techniques.
• Inspect own work for fit, proper construction and material flaws.
• Operate hand tools or machines necessary for the assembly of the component or product.
• Meet production schedules for on-time delivery.
• Perform timely calibrations and preventative maintenance where applicable.
• Ensure that 5S activity for the area is met.
• Participate in continuous improvement activity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support the Quality Policy and Safety Policy.
• Support the Vision and Guiding Principles of Kimball International and the facilities Priorities of Focus and management policies.
