This is an opportunity to join the Caterpillar Waco team as a direct hire with Day 1 benefits! What you can expect: As an Assembler you can expect to assemble large and heavy parts to complete units or subassemblies on machines. You will use hand tools, small power tools, and other special equipment/ tooling on a regular basis. Reassembles or reworks units as required. Assemblers report defects and need for repairs on mobile equipment by following safety check procedures as needed. Perform daily housekeeping functions as required. Ability to follow safety procedures, Standard Work Instructions and work in a safe manner. Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods Ability to perform repetitive operations Ability to lift-up to 35 lbs.

Requirements

  • 6 months of work experience
  • Basic computer experience is required

Nice To Haves

  • Parts/Product Assembly Manufacturing experience
  • Mechanical ability
  • Heavy equipment manufacturing experience
  • Overhead hoists and/or crane experience
  • Torque tool experience
  • Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/Knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) of Standard Assembly Tools and their applications
  • Intermediate proficiency with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
  • Flexible mindset
