About The Position

What is the opportunity? As a Product Analyst with RBC’s US Global Asset Management (GAM) product team you will be responsible for managing projects, research, and other assignments in partnership with Product Mangers and other internal business partners. Your role will have a primary focus on product strategy & development as well as both internal and external product communications. What will you do? Lead product projects in partnership with senior product resources in areas of innovation, product positioning and product management Create competitive analysis of RBC GAM institutional & intermediary investment capabilities relative to their respective benchmarks and peer groups; including product positioning and designing for the right to win Generate industry trend analysis for US markets and client channels Business case development for several product initiatives: including new fund/product proposals, pricing proposals, product positioning, etc. Collaborate across several areas of business strategy: including sales and marketing, product innovation and pricing Contribute to product training sessions for client facing team members; focusing on positioning and differentiation. What do you need to succeed? Must-have Bachelor’s degree required with at least 1-3 years of investment management related experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Working effectively with cross-functional teams Confidence and initiative to take on responsibility and manage your own projects Desire to develop working knowledge of investment philosophy, investment strategy, portfolio construction, risk guidelines, policies and legal structures of relevant products Nice-to-have Knowledge of investment product management or experience in investment analysis Track record of managing successful project teams with matrixed reporting lines Series 7 registration CFA level 1 or higher What’s in it for you? The expected salary range for this particular position is $55,000-$95,000, (Minneapolis) depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with at least 1-3 years of investment management related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves
