About The Position

As our Producing Sales Manager in the Retail Mortgage division, you will be a key driver of our mortgage origination efforts. Your primary responsibility is to recruit, lead and manage a team of loan officers, ensuring they meet sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service and application quality. Our Producing Sales Manager, you should be able to do the following confidently and independently... Sales Leadership: Lead a team of mortgage loan officers (MLOs) to achieve production goals. Recruit and hire best in market, qualified loan officers (MLO's) Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth. Originate mortgage loans personally while coaching and mentoring team members. Collaborate with other members of Merchants Mortgage (Operations, Capital Markets, etc.) and business unit leaders to optimize efficiency and facilitate teamwork. Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other industry partners. Provide exceptional service to borrowers, ensuring a smooth loan process. Address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive client interactions. Market Expansion: Identify market opportunities and stay informed about industry trends. Participate in community events and networking activities to promote our mortgage services. Contribute to the expansion of our customer base. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Monitor loan quality and adherence to underwriting guidelines. Collaborate with operations teams to streamline processes and achieve milestone tum times and expectations. Performance Metrics: Track loan production metrics, pipeline activity, and conversion rates. Regularly report performance to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage sales, including leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions.
