About The Position
The ABC is looking for an experienced Producer to create engaging current affairs stories from concept to broadcast, delivering original, high-quality, and relevant content that connects with our audience.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Strong skills in long-form TV production and storytelling.
- Excellent editorial judgement and communication.
- Resourcefulness and ability to work independently
- Broad knowledge of current political, social, and economic issues.
- Sound knowledge or awareness of 7:30’s production style.
- Cross-platform and video shooting experience.
- Passion for diverse, authentic Australian stories.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality current affairs stories across local to international topics
- Develop original stories from idea to final delivery.
- Research and produce all aspects of filming and edit delivery, same-day and long-term projects.
- Monitor news and engage with diverse communities for relevant stories.
- Collaborate and share ideas to produce content for Broadcast and digital platforms
