About The Position
The Producer for SportsLine is a pivotal role responsible for the development and execution of programming content that aligns with CBS Sports Digital's vision, particularly focusing on SportsLine content. This position requires a blend of creative and editorial direction, ensuring that the programming block hours are effectively managed and that the content resonates with sports fans, especially those interested in sports gambling. The Producer will oversee the day-to-day editorial operations for program hours, coordinating content integration across various platforms to deliver engaging and informative sports content. In this role, the Producer will be tasked with producing, scripting, and leading all aspects of segment execution for daily SportsLine content. This includes crafting narratives that help viewers understand the sports landscape from a gambling perspective. Collaboration with SportsLine experts is essential to deliver timely news and betting storylines that shape the sports gambling landscape. The Producer will also partner with the editorial team to explore available content and generate ideas that can be utilized across all digital platforms. The position demands a proactive approach to breaking news, requiring the Producer to recognize and prepare for significant developments at a competitive pace. Identifying betting trends and analysis is crucial, as this information will inform both the SportsLine show and CBS Sports HQ content. The Producer will also be involved in producing or assisting with the 6 PM SportsLine show and any related programming. Additionally, working with the SportsLine Social team to create engaging content for various digital platforms is a key responsibility. Overall, this role is designed for a passionate individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong understanding of the sports gambling space, along with exceptional editorial skills and the ability to develop compelling story ideas.
