About The Position

As a SiriusXM Podcast Producer, your role would involve leading ongoing production across one or more shows in our curiosity and inspiration slate. These shows come from the long tradition of podcasts that center around compelling conversations, strong storytelling, culture, lifestyle, entertainment and education. In your role, you would model best production practices and help in developing and implementing strategies to drive the growth, quality, and success across this slate and of the organization's podcasting efforts overall.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Journalism experience preferred
• 2+ years' experience in content development and/or production preferred for podcast, terrestrial or satellite radio, or similar audio medium
• Hands-on audio recording & editing skills (ProTools preferred)
• Must possess a curiosity and passion for podcasts and ideas for ways to move the medium forward as well as grow the audience
• A great ear for what makes for an engaging, smart, and entertaining conversation
• Patience and ability to walk talent and guests through basic tech setups for remote recording
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet all deadlines while working independently
• Social media skills

Nice To Haves

• Bonus if you have experience working across a variety of genres and styles: chat casts, comedy, in-depth interviews, news, documentary, etc
• Video editing skills are a bonus

Responsibilities

• Research and prep interviews, book guests and recording sessions, cut tape, write scripts, add music, incorporate edits, layup sessions
• Provide smart, targeted editorial feedback and a skilled, creative ear
• Handle meeting all ongoing deadlines and managing fast turnaround as needed
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to create a supportive and efficient production process
• Work with our ad sales and branded content teams to make sure ads are approved, recorded accurately and shared with sponsors in a timely manner
• Develop audience engagement tactics to foster community and bring new listeners to our network
• Ongoing communication and advocacy on behalf of your shows across all parts of our company
• Other duties as assigned

Benefits

• Base salary for this position to be $63,000-$85,000 annually
• Discretionary short-term and long-term incentives
