Summary Function is to serve as "produce resident expert" to our Members and sales team. This position fields calls and emails from Members and either provides great Customer Service to resolve any issues or routes the issue to the appropriate leader to obtain resolution. This position is a key position in the department for identifying and resolving issues in pricing, promotions, ordering, inventory control, shrink minimization, and delivery to ensure financial success for our Division and our Members.

Requirements

  • Retail grocery store experience required.
  • Strong communication and computer skills with the ability to use and learn new technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree not required, but equivalent work experience in retail; or three (3) years related experience and/or training in grocery retail management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the operational accuracy of all maintenance transactions to Member retail price files and support systems. This includes auditing data transmissions between AWG and Member systems. Work with Members and AWG personnel to identify and document problems and to coordinate resolutions within in the produce department.
  • Assist in utilizing communication methods to sell short dated product to avoid salvage, promote vendor promotions to provide additional sales opportunities to our Members.
  • As needed, run special programs and jobs for system testing, to identify problems, resolve issues, create reports, and print shelf label requests. Complete special requests for price file builds and loads, labels, and reports. Create and maintain ongoing documentation for all functions performed.
  • Network with other AWG departments. Work as a Member of the AWG team so the total job responsibilities are met. Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our Members, associates and division management
  • This position requires strong communication and computer skills with the ability to use and learn new technology. The Flawless Execution method will be utilized in all planning and communication. Management will be kept informed on planning, analysis, work performed and results. All records required by management must be complete, accurate and submitted on time.
  • Work within APG and create various reports based on provided requirements.
  • Assist stores in set up and merchandising as identified to promote key seasonal items to maximize sales
